I grew up in central Wisconsin. I attended college at the University of Wisconsin and received a B.S. in Pharmacy. While attending college I worked as a pharmacy technician at UW-Madison hospital. After receiving my degree I interned at UW hospital and then worked as a clinical pharmacist for a year while waiting for my wife to finish her college degree. In 1984 we moved to Minnesota and I attended the U of MN where I received my DDS degree. While attending dental school I worked weekends at U of MN hospital as a clinical pharmacist. It helped pay for my dental school training. After receiving my DDS degree I did a one year residency in an advanced general dentistry program. Following that I practiced general dentistry for 8 years. During that time I also was doing research at the University of MN and published articles on pain control. During those years my 2 daughters were born. In 1996 I began a 2 year residency at the U of MN and received my endodontic certificate. During that time I worked evenings and weekends as a general dentist.
Since 1998 I have been specializing in endodontics. I owned a practice in Hudson WI for many years but finally decided to sell the practice. I wanted to continue practicing endodontics without the hassle of managing a practice and finally ended up at Forest Lake Endodontics. I very much enjoy working with the staff and endodontists at the practice. The referring dentists are a joy to work with and the people in Forest Lake and the surrounding areas are great. My wife Penny and I have enjoyed living in the Midwest all of our lives. Our daughters Jenny and Michelle have married and moved to Michigan and Wisconsin. I have 4 wonderful grandchildren and enjoy every minute that I can spend with them.
