Dr. Liu earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan. Her time there provided her with a comprehensive foundation in all aspects of dental medicine. She then continued her training at the university of Toledo general practice residency program. Driven by a specific interest in diagnosing and treating complex tooth pain, she chose to pursue specialized training in endodontics. She completed her advanced education with a Certificate in Endodontics and Masters degree from the University of Minnesota. This rigorous, multi-year residency program equipped her with the advanced skills needed to handle the most challenging cases, from routine root canals to complex surgical procedures.

Throughout her training and career, Dr. Liu has remained dedicated to staying at the forefront of her specialty. She is committed to lifelong learning and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Endodontists, Minnesota Association of Endodontics and the American Dental Association.
